Job Description

Provide first line operational support, scheduling, resource management and File Transfer services in IBM Mainframe, Unix and AWS Cloud environments.

Provide technical expertise for internal projects that drive increased overall productivity and promote automation.

Monitors system resources and communicates with the Operations Center to effectively maximize throughputare met to satisfy customer requests.

Verifies the accuracy of completed production applications.

Performs any necessary balancing to ensure accuracy of processing via balancing software.

Performs a variety of customer support administrative tasks.

Provides business units with 24X7 production problem resolution support.

Communicates with users to enforce adherence to processes and standards.

Assists in the testing and implementation of operational production processes and procedures.

Support implementation of automation and process improvements for internal customers.

May participate and provide input to the system design phase of new project

Qualifications

3-5 Year experience with AWS/Cloud computing

Excellent knowledge of AWS/Cloud, Unix and Mainframe computing

Strong Operations Tech Support Experience with:

Troubleshooting and escalation of production issues in Cloud, Unix and Mainframe environments

Escalation of production issues and workload failures

Ability to triage system, resource, issues in Cloud, Unix and Mainframe based systems

Excellent File Transfer monitoring and troubleshooting methodologies including issue intervention and resolution in both Cloud and Mainframe based systems

Ability to facilitate and take lead with coordination and communication concerning complex production issues with both technical and non technical personnel

Highly skilled in successful synergies with highly technical developers and IT personnel partnering to coproduce procedures, process improvements and operational guidelines
